Another big milestone in our build – we got the loft bed platform built. And we saved some money over buying a pre-fab kit like we’ve seen online. We just cut up a bunch of old bed frames we found at the second hand store and bolted this thing to the walls.
Added some wood slats ala Ikea and voila – Loft bed!
We do have the mattress, an 8″ queen size RV latex foam rubber mattress from www.plushbeds.com. But we haven’t taken it out of the box yet. In fact, we’ve already temporarily removed the bed platform you see here so we can finish with some interior work more easily: wiring, plumbing, wall paneling, etc.
But it will go back in place in a jiffy and then we’ll add the mattress too and be ready for a good snooze!
