Another bumpy road and another great secluded campsite. Makes me think we should’ve named this blog “Where the Pavement Ends”.
We had decided to take our time getting from Fruita to Crested Butte and so looked for an overnight spot somewhere in between (because good times can’t be rushed) and this time we ended up at Carson Lake in the Mesa Grande area.
Down Forest Service Road 100 to Forest Service Road 108 and then downhill to the lake.
Only one other camper there and we had a very quiet and chilly night.
