Kokopelli’s Rustler’s Loop

One of the first things Tim and I did when we first arrived in Fruita was to visit our host bike shop called Over The Edge. Like most retail bike shops we’ve visited the sales people are very interested in where you are from and what brought you to their town.

We met Joe (not his real name but I liked it and for this post it works) who was very interested in helping us find just the right ride for us.

You guessed it. It was the Kokopelli Trails, the one named Rustler’s Loop. 3.5 miles long and like Joe said

“It has a little bit of everything Fruita’s landscape has to offer”.

We rode it first thing before we left Fruita for Crested Butte on Tuesday.

It was an awesome trail, lots of ups and downs, river views, a few rock challenges and some flowy release at the finish. Ahhhhhh!!
