Yummy Breakfast

Tuesday evening we decided to try dispersed camping for the first time. We used the website www.freecampsites.net and found what looked like an ideal spot not too far off the interstate east of Twin Falls, Idaho.

Well as we got closer, the washboard gravel road turned to soft sand with deep tire ruts and before we knew it we were spinning our wheels and dragging the undercarriage in places. Yikes!!

Luckily we got out of there without a problem but it dampened our spirits a bit. We found an RV Park in Heyburn and spent the night there, making homemade burritos on the camp stove in the dark.

In the morning we decided we deserved breakfast out so Shannon found this place on Google and it did not disappoint!

It’s the Wayside Cafe just off I-84 in Heyburn, Idaho. We would recommend this for traditional American style breakfast – excellent hash browns and the buttermilk pancakes were fluffy and delicious.
