We tried dispersed camping last week and nearly got our brand new van stuck in the sand. Luckily we were able to back out of there (love that camera for reverse), and everything was fine.
Today we tried again. This time at some BLM land on 18 Road north of Fruita, right near the Book Cliffs and the biking trails we did on Sunday with Dirt Series.
This worked out really well this time and we had a great evening bike ride followed by chicken soft tacos in the Colorado desert capped off with watching the full moon rise in the east.
